Ancient Spanish Monastery

Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux. Built in Sacramenia, in the Province of Segovia, Spain, during the period 1133-1141, dismantled and moved to Miami by William Randolph Hearst in 1925 and rebuilt in the 1950's. Now a venue for weddings and receptions.

The Conch Republic was established by secession of the Florida Keys from the United States of America, on April 23rd, 1982 in response to a United States Border Patrol Blockade. The Keys 'Independence' is still celebrated every year.
